Niyaaz Sayed
Active Community Memeber
Niyaaz Sayed is an empathetic people leader and coach with over 20 years' experience leading and delivering value in the public, private and community sectors. His most recent experience is in the areas of People Services (HR), Talent Mobility, Workforce Strategy and Coaching. His earlier experience was in analytics, strategy and operational planning. Niyaaz has led both small and larger teams of professionals and leaders in operational and project settings. Niyaaz is an active member of (and in) the Wellington Muslim community filling several volunteer roles including course administration, coordinating youth activities and serving on three community trust boards
Sheikh Zwadah
Imam, Kibirnie Masjid [Wellington, NZ]
A graduate of Al-Azhar University [Egypt] with a MA in Islamic Studies Sheikh Zewada has been the Senior Imam and Mufti for the Ministry of Endowments in Egypt. From 2007 - 2014 he was the Imam at the Hawkes Bay Islamic Centre. The Sheikh then moved to be the Imam for Kibirnie Masjid [Wellington, NZ] from 2014 - 2017 and is an a now the Imam at Al-Ameen Islamic Centre Newlands [Wellington, NZ]. Sheikh Zewada is a sought after speaker on Islamic theology across New Zealand.
